Bell Arts Factory, 432 N Ventura Ave # 101, Ventura, CA

Sponsored by: Vita Explorations, Image Source, Dexter's Camera, & Fast Frame

I am also working with with Mel and Karen Carll of the

SCV Center for Photography:

- Basics of Adobe Lightroom

We will cover the 5 modules of Lightroom, with the main focus on the Library and Develop modules: importing and managing files, photo editing and color correcting, using and creating presets, exporting and finishing in Photoshop, and ways to show your work!

- Digital Asset Management

Digital Cameras take millions of nice photos. What do you do with all of them?

How do you edit them, store them, protect them, and show them? Most of all,

how do you find them?  This workshop covers "What happens after the shoot."

Topics will include digital work-flow, file naming, cataloging and

showing. This workshop will be beneficial for photographers that would

like to learn more about "DAM" - Digital Asset Management

We will use Adobe Lightroom, and Microsoft's Expression Media

to help you get, and stay organized.

About Dan’s Workshops:

Hi Dan,

Wow!  on the photos and thank you for an inspirational day.  I started out not sure what to do but ended up totally lost in the experience of shooting.  I understand why you say “just get out there and shoot”.

Freda Massaro

Hi Dan,

Just wanted to let you know that I found your Basic Workshop extremely valuable. The information and tools I learned will help me with my photography and enhance what we learned in the Introductory Workshop.  Thank you for offering the workshop!

“Dynamite & then some! - the course was on target and expanded my imagination/ability to see and create images”

“Great! Excellent info! The course provided what I asked for & the course material was excellent!

I appreciated Dan’s enthusiasm and The Bell Arts Factory is a lovely space.”

Dan

Thanks for the workshop. It was very interesting to remember a lot of what I had read throughout many years. It was a lot of material but it was good to see the concepts with the pictures you had taken. You are knowledgeable and it showed.

Another very interesting thing was comparing all the different pictures, so varied, in the same place and lightning by all the participants. And as you say, it is not the brushes, sometimes not even a lot of experience. I was surprised to see the creativity of the youngest, Lauren.

Thanks again for a very enjoyable experience.

Arturo Albin

I found Dan’s class very informative and he conveyed many topics with clarity and patience.  He connected with his class, answering many unique questions. His format was very comfortable and no one was pressured.  The critique following our free time shoot was also informative and well done. It was obvious that all class members enjoyed themselves and found the time and money well spent!

Thanks again Dan
